BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE A STORY TO TELL...
and I really want to tell yours.
I want to give you hundreds of photos to bring you right back to that day.
A photo of your best friend laughing hysterically next to you in your dress stares back at you. You remember how moments before she had shoved a piece of filet into your mouth and watched as the juice ran down your chin. “Your mother said you have to remember to eat,” she shouted at you as you both broke out into laughter.
A large landscape. All of the guests are tiny ants dancing across a beautiful scene. A huge white tent with sunflowers lining one side. Pastel dresses and penguin suits are splattered throughout the photograph.
You can smell the fresh-cut grass.
You can see your father’s red cheeks as he sips his scotch on the rocks and laughs with his old college friend.
You can feel your husband’s sweaty hand clutching tightly to yours as you remember the moment he whispered to you, “I do.”
All of these moments are not gone.
They are in your living room, decorating the walls of your bedroom, peeking out of large wooden frames and waiting to be re-lived in the large linen album on your coffee table. You will look at them now, a week from now, twenty years from now.
Your story isn’t over, because I’m going to write it all down for you in photographs.
